For many of us, the start of a new year is when we make resolutions. However as the year gets under way, it's easy to lose track of your goals and focus, in general.
It's also the best time to take a moment to yourself, and reflect on your life goals. Everyone looks forward to March and April for the public holidays it brings. While it's great to take a break, go away with the family and catch up with the kids, carve out some time for yourself also. Whether it's taking a quiet walk, having a coffee or morning to yourself, writing in your journal - just do it.
Make a list of your goals and the things you need to follow up on. Also remind yourself that lists are an ongoing way to shape your life, not to make you feel awful if you're not ticking off items on your to-do list, as quickly as you would like to.
Maybe you want to look around for a new job, update your resume, join new networks - whatever it is, reflect on it, write it down and make a realistic plan how to achieve it. It may be as simple as dedicating 10 minutes of your lunch break to achieve it, step by step! Shake up how you look at things, stay positive and keep moving forward!
